The youth movement on the PGA Tour

If you are a fan of the young golfers currently occupying the PGA Tour, then you surely have been a fan of the golf on display this past season. Jordan Speith, Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas capped off their summers with major championship victories (Jordan's 3rd and Brooks and Justin's 1st) while many other young players entered the winner's circle. UT's own Cody Gribble secured his first PGA Tour victory, along with Mackenzie Hughes, Jon Rahm, Wesley Bryan, Xander Schauffele & Bryson DeChambeau, among others. We continue to see a record amount of rookie winners on the PGA Tour. Why is that? Are these kids just more fearless than previous generations? We largely believe it to be a combination of factors: a result of the grassroots efforts to grow the game of golf as well as providing access to tournament play at any age. Young golfers now also have a higher level of quality instruction at an earlier age and thus are more prepared for the situations that golf puts in front of you. This is evident when examining the depth of competition through high school, college golf and beyond.

We are looking forward to seeing the next crop of young players earn their way to the PGA Tour and achieve success on the highest level. Many of those players are currently on display in the Web.com Tour Finals on The Golf Channel. Here is your chance to meet these players before they start their PGA Tour journeys this fall!
