Practice - Short game

These practice plans are general plans to help maximize the effectiveness of practice in between lessons, rounds and tournaments.  Remember to incorporate the specific skills you and your coach are working on. Practice time is an opportunity to engrain skills and build confidence in your technique.  Go get ‘em!

Plans are broken into indoor training and outdoor training, as well as comprehensive (all shots) and skill specific (short game, driver, etc).  

Consult with your coach on which practice plan you need to incorporate each session/week.


 
 

Chipping - 15 Minutes (items needed: SkyTrak Bay, SW, PW, 7 iron)

1. Practice Setup

a). Posture with feet shoulder width apart, arms hanging below shoulders, club in the middle of the stance, clubface square to target line.

2. Practice Swings (1 Min)

a). Practice forward brush

b). Tip: watch where your club brushes the mat. It should be forward of where you start at address.

3. Small Chips with 7 iron (7 Min)

a). Driving Range Mode: 15 chip shots

4. Target Challenge (7 Min)

a). Set up a “Target Challenge” from 20 yards with shots on “Easy Mode”

b). Get 4 out of 6 in the 100 point circle to pass.


Pitching - 15 Mins (items needed: SkyTrak Bay, SW, PW)

Chipping Drill (SKYTRAKS)

Skytracks:

Set up a “Target Challenge” from 20 yards with 6 shots. Get 4 out of 6 in the 100 point circle to pass. Complete the challenge on the Easy, Medium and Hard setting. Try it with more than one club.

Set up a “Target Challenge” from 30 yards with 6 shots. Get 4 out of 6 in the 100 point circle to pass. Complete the challenge on the Easy, Medium and Hard setting.

Set up a “Target Challenge” from 40 yards with 6 shots. Get 4 out of 6 in the 100 point circle to pass. Complete the challenge on the Easy, Medium and Hard setting.
